Our Facilities

Gel Electrophoresis Unit

Gel Electrophoresis Unit

We use the BIORAD Gel Electrophoresis Unit for separation of DNA, RNA, based on their size and electrical charge through an agarose or polyacrylamide gel.

Inverted Microscope

Inverted Microscope

We use the Dewinter Inverted Microscope for observing and imaging cells and tissue cultures, particularly samples maintained in culture vessels such as plates and flasks.

Gel Doc Imaging System

Gel Doc Imaging System

We use the BIORAD Gel Doc imaging system for visualization, documentation and analysis of DNA, RNA, and protein bands in electrophoresis gels using UV/white-light illumination.

Nano Drop One UV-Vis Spectrophotometer

Nano Drop One UV-Vis Spectrophotometer

We use Thermo Nanodrop for rapid quantification and purity assessment of nucleic acids and proteins using very small sample volumes.

Probe Sonicator with Noise-Isolating Chamber

Probe Sonicator with Noise-Isolating Chamber

We use Probe Sonicator high-frequency ultrasonic energy to disrupt and lyse cells and tissues, facilitating extraction of DNA, RNA, proteins, and other biomolecules.

Western Blot Unit

Western Blot Unit

We use the Bio-Rad Western Blot Unit for the detection and analysis of specific proteins in biological samples after separation by SDS-PAGE and transfer onto a membrane, followed by antibody-based detection.
